Entry #5 - What Could Go Wrong?

The debate about whether cats or dogs are has been ongoing since the beginning of the 2000s. Many people say dogs are better because they are energetic and loving, while others say cats are more than that. This rivalry has also created many stereotypes about both. Dogs are crazy and rambunctious, while cats are devious and mess-makers. In the ad "Cat :30 | Allstate Mayhem," Allstate portrays the "cat stereotypes by showing Mayhem as a cat trying to promote their home insurance.

Cat - Allstate Mayhem
The ad starts with Mayhem playing with a toy and saying he's your cat. He then says he's going to destroy you! He's been planning this since the day you got him, and "This is a billion years of tiger DNA just ready to pounce" that it's not the love you think it is. While explaining this comfortably on the couch, they show Mayhem doing cat stuff, like standing on the Roomba (autonomous vacuum), looking out of the cat tree, and turning on the faucet to get a drink, leaving it overflowing. What usually happens when you get the bathroom flooded in a two-story? Results in the bathroom falling downstairs, right? In this case, it creates a huge mess that must be fixed and paid for. Mayhem then says that choosing the wrong home insurance, you could be coughing up the cash to fix it. Then he says you should go with Allstate and be better protected now instead of later from Mayhem, like "Meow."

Cat - Allstate Mayhem

Showing the audience what your pet could do to your house with the comedy Mayhem presents hopefully convinces viewers that they should get home insurance, for example, Allstate. The intended audience is anyone with a home with pets because you never know what could happen when looking away. Allstate hopes that by using the comedy of Mayhem causing a mess to the house like a cat, you might consider going with the best option, Allstate. This ad can be seen as funny because of Mayhem's ridiculous actions and the mess it's causing. Even in American culture, most people might go with insurance that doesn't cover the crazy things like Mayhem does, but by using Allstate, you won't have to deal with finding the money to fix something. Don't assume the worst won't happen because Mayhem might come along and ruin your day. After reading this, I hope you consider what kind of insurance you have and how or why an ad is funny or crazy. Who knows, you'll accidentally get Mayhem as a cat, and he'll be a menace to you.

This could be taking your car to the mechanic regularly or checking it yourself. If you don't know what a noise could be or don't know what to look for, you should bring it into an auto shop so they can fix it properly if it has issues. However, simple things can be done to avoid taking it into the shop often. Only some things need to be checked frequently/monthly, but it is good practice to know what to look for when the time does come around. Pennzoil A simple thing most people need to learn is to check/change their oil . Every car uses oil, except for electric-only cars, to lubricate the engine and other moving parts, which can cause numerous problems if it runs low or old. Entry #3 - What Could It Be???

Leeloo Thefirst - Pexel Many things could be guessed from an open-ended question like "What could it be?"  Some might imagine something concerning sports, cars, travel, school, or food. But throughout this, you'll have to determine what it could be for yourself, and after reading this, you can look it up to see what you think it is. It could be anything you never know; you might even have It as you read.  After looking at the light blue and white package, It reminds you of something attractive and fresh. It catches your eye, making you want to try out what It is. Its name sounds like what it is but is spelled differently to give its way of showing what's in the tin. Opening this metal container gives a satisfying *pop* and *ting* sound while the contents shuffle around. But while closing, It you hear that nostalgic *click* sound that leaves you with that instinct to look and want to see what It was. These circular disks have an odd but interesting indent in their cent...

Entry #6 - A Little Look at the Toyota Tacoma

Today, Toyota is known worldwide for its cars like the Corolla, Camry, and a personal favorite, the Supra. However, their trucks are also just as popular, if not more. Throughout their production of trucks, they've had many different kinds like the Hilux, ironically, Toyota Truck, and the Tundra. Each one of these trucks is great, but the one that we'll be going over is the Toyota Tacoma , specifically how it came to be and what is so great about having one. The first generation of Toyota Tacomas was made from 1995-2004. Compared to the previous truck, the Toyota Truck, it had improved handling and comfort. By the time the 2000s came, they had made standard running headlights on models with abs. They would even add vehicle stability control(VSC) and traction control. Toyota would also make the PreRunner Xtracab and Xtracab TRD packages in this generation. With the TRD (Toyota Racing Development), Toyota aimed to create a truck dedicated to off-roading. This was only possible wi...
