After a long day of work, sometimes people want a way to relax and wind down. For example, some people use video games to chill and do something fun. Amazingly, even truckers can play video games in their semi-trucks! Even though they want to get away from their job and get a break, ironically, some play video games that are almost, if not exactly, what they do for their job, like SnowRunner.
On April 28, 2020, Focus Home Interactive published the game SnowRunner, developed by Saber Interactive. However, when it was first announced in 2018, it was initially called MudRunner2, but Focus and Saber re-released it as SnowRunner later that year. The two previous games, Spintires and MudRunner, caused much anticipation for the community for these games. It had gotten over one million copies in the first month of release and had two million sold by May of the following year.

Now, what is SnowRunner? SnowRunner is an open-world off-roading simulator game where you, the player, go around completing jobs. For example, delivering cargo, finishing construction projects, clearing roads, and, my personal favorite, recovering vehicles. Of course, you go around in various trucks completing these tasks for money and stars. By gaining stars, you rank up and buy more things with the money you earned from the tasks, like upgrades for your trucks or even buying more trucks to make the next job more manageable. You can change everything on the trucks, from the wheels and suspension to the frame add-ons like a flatbed. All the trucks you can get match their region location, in this case, North America and Russia. North American trucks like the Chevrolet Kodiak are named the same as they appear in real life since they are officially licensed. In contrast, the Russian vehicles, like the BAZ-6402, are similar but named slightly differently since they're not licensed. This game has sixty-plus different vehicles and more than fifteen regions, and the Aniversary DLCs add even more content to explore.

I've only recently started playing with one of my friends I go off-roading with, and we both are already getting addicted. We haven't even completed the first region yet. I've even gained a new appreciation for the workers who have to do similar things for their jobs, even if the game's physics isn't always realistic. I hope after reading this, you might consider getting it and trying it out; maybe you'll develop a love for off-roading and want to try it out for real.
I'm not a gamer, but your blog sparked an interest in me for this game! Mainly because I have a very task-driven mind, so I think this game would be really satisfying for me. The way you describe it is intriguing and it would be a cool new perspective to have for semi-truck drivers!
